Situation

Sales data was available but not easily analyzable across key business dimensions such as geography, product lines, customers, and transaction attributes. Stakeholders lacked an interactive view to understand sales trends, discount impact, and performance differences across regions, products, and sales channels.

Task

My responsibility was to design an interactive sales analytics dashboard that enabled stakeholders to explore sales performance across multiple dimensions, identify trends over time, and better understand the impact of discounts, delivery methods, and payment options on revenue.

Action

• Built interactive dashboards with filters for state, product, and customer to enable flexible analysis
• Created visualizations for sales by year, product, customer, and state to highlight trends and regional performance
• Developed charts to analyze sales by delivery methods and payment methods, providing insight into channel preferences
• Modeled gross sales, net sales, and total discounts to clearly show the impact of pricing and promotions
• Designed drill-down and filtering capabilities to support self-service analysis for business users

Result

• Enabled stakeholders to quickly identify sales trends and performance drivers across products, customers, and regions
• Improved visibility into the impact of discounts on net revenue and profitability
